Mainport Training provides accredited workplace safety and skills training throughout South Wales. Their existing website had become dated, difficult to update, and was no longer representing the professional scope of their services. They approached Jonathan Hurley Design to deliver a clean, modern redesign that would bring their online presence up to standard and make content management straightforward.
Objectives
- Migrate from a static HTML site to a WordPress CMS for easy updates.
- Create a modern, mobile-responsive design.
- Present the range of courses in a clear, user-friendly layout.
- Strengthen the company’s professional and trustworthy image.
Our Approach
We rebuilt the Mainport Training website using WordPress and Elementor, giving the client full control over course listings, content, and images without any need for coding. The design adopts a crisp, professional style with intuitive navigation and strong visual hierarchy, making course information quick to find and easy to understand.
Typography and colour were refined to convey reliability and clarity, while subtle graphical accents add polish without clutter. Behind the scenes, the site was optimised for speed, SEO, and mobile performance to ensure accessibility across all devices.
Results
- Modern WordPress website replacing an inflexible HTML build.
- Mobile-friendly and optimised for search visibility.
- Clear, structured presentation of courses and certifications.
- Easy for staff to update and maintain independently.
The redesign gives Mainport Training a stronger, more professional online presence — a true “port of call” for learners and businesses seeking accredited training.
