A Helping Hand for Training Company’s Online Presence

Crosshands Training

Overview

Crosshands Training is a well-established training provider offering a wide range of accredited workplace courses across South Wales. Their previous website was a static HTML build that had become difficult to update and limited in functionality. They approached Jonathan Hurley Design to modernise the site and make it easier to manage while reflecting the professionalism of their expanding business.

Objectives

  • Upgrade from a fixed HTML site to a modern, editable CMS.
  • Improve navigation and accessibility across devices.
  • Present course information more clearly and consistently.
  • Strengthen the visual identity and credibility of the brand.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the website in WordPress, using Elementor to give the Crosshands Training team full control over their content without the need for coding. The new design was structured around clear course categories, strong calls to action, and responsive layouts for smooth mobile performance.

Typography, colour, and imagery were refreshed to create a professional but approachable look — balancing the business’s training expertise with accessibility for learners. We also implemented improved SEO structure and performance optimisation for better visibility in search results.

Results

  • Fully editable WordPress website built with Elementor for easy updates.
  • Responsive and mobile-friendly layout, replacing the outdated HTML structure.
  • Improved usability with clear navigation and course listings.
  • Enhanced visual impact, aligning with the company’s professional reputation.

The redesign transformed Crosshands Training’s online presence from a static brochure-style site into a dynamic, maintainable platform that supports growth and client engagement.
